Curtis Preston, Chief Technologist, Druva in his opening keynote address informed the attendees why the cloud is perfect for data protection & DR and is a marriage made in the clouds. He said it provides, infinite scale w/o paying for it, the ability to instantiate data recovery immediately, minimal ongoing costs for data recovery, and the ability to easily and repeatedly test declaring a disaster.
