Dmitry Tyomkin, Head of Systems Integration, Cat Digital Platform
Dmitry is an accomplished business and technology executive with over two decades of rich, diverse experience in various fields, including Software, Financial Services, Telecom, Retail and Biotech. Knowledgeable in Blockchain, Big Data, AI/ML, Cloud and Web Development technologies, he is currently leading Systems Integration function at Cat Digital division of Caterpillar. Dmitry previously spent 2.5 years at Citadel, a Chicago-based hedge fund, supervising processes and operations (Data Governance, Data Ops, Alternative Data Set Provisioning) within CDO department. In conjunction with this effort he contributed to several startups in blockchain and real estate crowdfunding spaces. Earlier he served in various business, consulting and technology leadership roles. Dmitry holds Executive MBA degree with Honors from University of Chicago Booth School Of Business.
Robert Ross, Inaugural Chief Data Officer

Robert Ross is the Inaugural Chief Data Officer of the Cook County Assessor’s Office, where he has served as a Deputy Assessor to Fritz Kaegi since last year. Previously, he worked with the Chicago Tribune to expose inequality in property tax assessments in the Tax Divide series. He holds two Masters’ Degrees in Economics and Public Policy, and previously worked for Chicago Public Schools, Cook County, The University of Chicago, and the Taxpayers’ Federation of Illinois. Rob is a licensed Foster Parent with the State of Illinois, and is passionate about leveraging data analytics to improve government in Cook County.

Michael Jennings is a recognized industry expert in data architecture and information management with more than twenty-five years of experience in various industries. Mike speaks frequently on enterprise architecture, information management concepts and practices at major industry conferences. He is a co-author of the book “Universal Meta Data Models” (2004) and a contributing author & editorial advisor to the books “Building and Managing the Meta Data Repository” (2000) and “The DAMA Guide to the Data Management Body of Knowledge – DMBOK” versions 1 & 2 (2009 & 2017).
John Fahrenbach, Data Scientist

John is a healthcare data scientist at UChicago Medicine whose expertise spans the data science pipeline from advanced statistical analysis to developing and integrating machine learning models in healthcare settings. His current work focuses on using discrete and agent-based simulation models to understand healthsystem operations and helping manage machine learning programs. His recent publications explore machine learning methodology, addresses caveats of claims data in machine learning models, and how bias and equity effect hospital rankings and quality metric outcomes. Prior to his work in healthcare data science, John was an NIH and AHA funded scientist researching cardiovascular electrophysiology and bioinformatics at The University of Chicago.
Chad Konchak, Assistant Vice President, Clinical Analytics

Chad Konchak is the Assistant Vice President of Clinical Analytics at NorthShore University HealthSystem: a 5-hospital integrated healthcare delivery system in the northern Chicagoland area. In his role, Chad oversees the team responsible for NorthShore’s clinical and operational reporting, analysis and predictive modeling, which focus on leveraging and delivering data that improve the quality of care, patient and physician experience, and efficiency of the healthcare system. Chad is also a faculty of the American College of Healthcare Executives where he teaches a course on healthcare analytics for executives.

Ravi’s prior roles include GE Renewable Digital as Chief Growth Officer, Blackstone Group as operational executive and KPMG as management consultant. Ravi holds a management degree from Kellogg School of Management and engineering degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Tom Schenk, Jr., Director of Analytics
Tom Schenk Jr. is a researcher and author on applying technology, data, and analytics to make better decisions. He’s currently the director of analytics at KPMG where he leads the smart city and government analytics practice. He’s authored several publications, including a book on data visualization, book chapters on education research, and academic articles on a variety of subjects. Tom has previously served as Chief Data Officer for the City of Chicago, led education research for the State of Iowa, and has held a variety of positions within academia. Tom is the co-founder of the Civic Analytics Network at Harvard University’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation. He is also the current co-organizer of the Chicago Data Visualization Group. His work has been featured in The Economist and Wall Street Journal while he’s been featured in television programs on PBS NewsHour and National Geographic Channel.
Sabih Khan, Deputy Chief of Bureau of Technical Services

Sabih Khan is the Deputy Chief of the Bureau of Technical Services at the Chicago Police Department where he serves as one of the members within the Department’s executive staff. As the deputy and advisor to the Chief of Bureau of Technical Services, Deputy Chief Khan leads the development and management of CPD’s technology and data analytics strategy, along with managing the Bureau’s six divisions including the Information Services, Data Analytics, Evidence and Recovered Property, Records, Facilities Management, and General Support Division.
His experience and academic background positions the CPD with the ability to develop strategies that increase the Departments analytics capacity and maintain its position as a model agency across the country for innovative policing technology that embrace the Department’s philosophy of reducing crime through data-driven policing.
Sanjay Kirtikar, Director – Digital Technologies & Analytics
Sanjay has 20+ years of experience in information technology leadership, strategy, operations and management. He is currently responsible for the strategy and delivery of Beam Suntory’s Digital Technologies & Analytics capabilities. In this global leadership role, he is responsible to deliver digital and advanced analytics solutions using a consistent global solution standard, build QA capabilities and a ground-up India captive delivery center as a new add-on to his global delivery model of US & Spain.
He joined Beam Suntory in 2014 to setup the strategic vision of Beam Suntory’s Digital Technologies. He built the Digital COE for Beam Suntory ground-up, delivering web, mobile, social, collaboration & cloud capabilities. As a Marketing IT leader, Sanjay was instrumental in building strategic partnerships with the Global & Commercial Marketing organizations within Beam Suntory, gaining trust by delivering innovative solutions. He also globally led information security, infrastructure operations & IT support functions until June of 2019.

Krishna V. Iyer, Chief Data Scientist

Krishna Iyer joined the State of Illinois in 2016, as the Chief Data Scientist and one of the founding members of the State Data Practice. He has obtained his Ph.D. in engineering sciences from University of Connecticut and his master’s and bachelor’s from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India. Prior to the State, Krishna has held leadership roles in technology delivery, product management, six-sigma methodology, and in mission-critical innovation projects at a Fortune 500 company. Krishna has been creatively extracting value from data for about 18 years and has applied insights across the spectrum of innovation: research and development through to production and life-cycle management. He sees tremendous opportunity in public sector for a data-driven approach and has a strong desire to improve services for the citizens of Illinois. He was placed by Corinium Intelligence, amongst the top 100 innovators in Data and Analytics in Americas for 2018.
