Scott Blumenreich, Chief Innovation & Technology Officer
City of Centennial

Mr. Scott Blumenreich is the Chief Innovation and Technology Officer for the City of Centennial, Colorado. Mr. Blumenreich joined Centennial in 2015 to design, build, and lead an Innovation Team (i-team) funded through a 3-year grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies focused on embedding innovation in government. In conjunction with launching the Innovation Team, he architected the City’s first enterprise class IT department, leading to the formation of the Office of Technology and Innovation.

In the course of his multi-faceted career, which began as a grant-based research biochemist, Mr. Blumenreich has served in executive and consultative technology roles both nationally and internationally. Having transitioned early in his professional life to lead technology transformation efforts in the Pharma and Biotech industries, Blumenreich’s personal maxim for leaders in both the public and private sectors is to, “Create with Compassion…Disrupt with Discretion”.

Mr. Blumenreich holds an M.S. Degree in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and emphasis in Genetics from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. Most importantly, he clears his mind by playing the drums with musician friends and his favorite Prog Rock bands.

Joseph McComb, Global Chief Information Security Officer
Janus Henderson Investors U.S

Joseph McComb, Ph.D. is Chief Information Security Officer at Janus Henderson Investors, a position he has held since the merger of Janus Capital Group and Henderson Global Investors in 2017. Dr. McComb joined the Information Security department at Janus Capital Group in 2009. Prior to Janus Henderson, Dr. McComb worked in Information Security at Policy Studies, a US domestic outsourcing firm, and Merck and Company. Dr. McComb has 17 years of Information Security experience.

Dr. McComb holds multiple industry certifications including the GSEC, G2700, CISM, CISSP and the CISA. He also represents Janus Henderson Investors within the Investment Company Institute (ICI) Chief Information Security Officer Committee and has been an active author in the Annual Asset Management Cyber Security Benchmarking Survey.

Chandy Ghosh, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager 9-1-1 Emergency Services
Inteliquent

Chandy is currently the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager at Inteliquent’s 911 Services division. Prior to this, Chandy was the Executive Vice President of Technology at West Safety Services/Intrado, Longmont, Colorado, running nation-wide 9-1-1 solutions, critical Infrastructure governed by the Dept of Homeland Security. In this capacity, she worked with executives at major TSPs, solution partners as well as internal teams to ensure highly available wireline, mobility and government 911 solutions. Chandy is on the Board of several organizations including Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame, HMG Strategy, SIM C-Suite Colorado & Colorado Technology Association’s Women-in-Technology.

John Nord, Head of Information Technology and Country Information Security Officer
RUAG Space USA, Inc.

John has worked in the IT field for the past 25+ years, with the last 15 years in IT leadership roles.  He holds his MS in Cyber Security and BS in Computer Science along with a number of industry certifications to include his CISSP, CRISC, and others.  He currently leads the IT department and Information Security program for a global aerospace and defense organization.  John got his start in the IT field while serving in the US Army and since then has worked in a number of different industry verticals, including Life Sciences, Aerospace, Healthcare, Oil/Gas, etc.  John also teaches college courses, mostly technology, leadership, and project management, for several different schools.

Andy Atencio, Information Systems Director
Summit County Government

Andy Atencio is a certified ITIL Expert and Organizational Development Process Certified Professional. He has worked in IT for over 28 years, in various roles from support to leadership. Andy Is currently the Information Services Director for Summit County Government after severing as the Chief Technology Officer for the City of Greenwood Village for 18 years. His focus has been helping not only his public-sector organization, but other organizations, understand the cultural and organizational impact of IT Service Management. Leveraging his Master’s Degree in Organizational Behavior and psychological personality expertise to foster the shift from technology being about things to being about people.

Merlin Namuth, Cyber Risk Board
Pepperdine University

Merlin Namuth is a Chief Information Security Officer.  Namuth has over 23 years of IT experience with the last 20 years focused in security. His experience includes building and running numerous security programs, program management, managing incident response teams, computer forensics, compliance, architecture, and engineering complex security solutions. Namuth serves on the cyber risk advisory board at Pepperdine University where he also guest lectures. Merlin currently serves on the Board of Directors at iEmpathize, a nonprofit organization focused on educating people about human trafficking. He has presented at several conferences, including RSA both domestically and internationally, as well as RMISC.

Mark Derrick, Chief Information Security Officer

My career in security started at Visa as a senior manager on the infrastructure security team, primarily as the team lead for Identity and Access Management, Role Based Access Control (RBAC) deploying IBM’s Tivoli suite and developing compliance policies and attestations for accounts. Since that time 12 years ago, I have progressed in security both technically and strategically as a manager for IBM security services and products, director for security services for TechData, deputy CISO for SC Johnson, and currently the CISO for Open Technology Solutions, an IT services organization that supports banks.

As the Chief Information Security Officer for a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO). (CUSOs) are corporate entities owned by federally chartered or federally insured, state-chartered credit unions, I have full responsibility and accountability for risk, policy, architecture, operations, and overall strategy for ensuring security across 5 different organizations to include 3 credit unions.

Shane Quint, Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Quint received his computer science degree in 1985 and gained employment with Electronic Data Systems as a Systems Engineer. Over the next 5 years, Mr. Quint honed his software development and database technology skills working for Burlington Northern Railroad and through other consulting projects. In 1995, Mr. Quint started Quint Consulting Services, Inc. where he built a successful information technology consulting practice specializing in web and database technologies. Some of Quint Consulting Services notable clients included Kroger, United Artists Theaters, The Shane Company, Level 3 Communications, US West, and Colorado Pre-paid tuition. In 2005, Mr. Quint joined Education Sales Management (ESM) as VP of Technology and later CTO where he was in charge of all aspects of Information technology including software development, infrastructure and call center technology. ESM was sold to Xerox Corporation in July of 2011. Mr. Quint is an investor in CereScan Corp. and began consulting with CereScan Corp. on various projects in 2012 and joined the company full-time as CTO in April, 2014.

Rick is a 30 year veteran working within the technology sector. From his early days as a desktop technician for NYNEX Business Centers to his current position as CIO for Galloway and Company, he’s demonstrated a passion for identifying business needs and applying technical solutions to resolve them. He’s experienced diverse facets of technology throughout his career from desktop support and enterprise networking to business ownership and consulting.

Outside of work he enjoys golfing and camping with his family and friends.

Randall Frietzsche, Enterprise Chief Information Security Officer

Randall’s career started in Law Enforcement.  With the technical aptitude, he moved into technology, starting as an MCSE on Windows NT 4.0.  Over the next 22 or so years, he evolved to become the Enterprise Chief Information Security Officer for Denver Health and Hospital Authority.  He also teaches cybersecurity courses for Harvard and Regis Universities.  As an ISSA Distinguished Fellow, Randall’s mission is to give back to our profession, to mentor, teach, speak, and write.  Security is his vocation, avocation and passion.  Randall has presented at many security conferences, including RMISC, Denver CISO Summit, SecureWorld, and the Louisville Metro Information Security Conference.

Brian Comerford, Senior Vice President of Information Technology Strategy, Governance and Innovation

Brian Comerford is a digital leader and serial entrepreneur, notably as co-founder of RadioValve.com, an iRadio station among the first generation of webcasters. He served as adjunct professor at the University of Denver, his alma mater, in the Digital Media Studies department. He currently serves as the co-chair of the CIO Working Group for the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers and as a board member of The Adoption Exchange, as well as a design partner for Foxit Software, Assurex Global and Vertafore. Additionally, he co-hosts the Lead.exe podcast with Nick Lozano, covering topics from emotional intelligence to design thinking.
