Rich Nagle has a unique perspective on information technology informed by a breadth and depth of experience across a variety of industries and IT specializations over the last 25 years. Currently serving as CISO for The Ohio State University, Rich has served as a leader in information systems and security with experience in software development, financial, banking, manufacturing, distribution, and higher education industries. Rich’s experiences include Security, Information Risk, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Infrastructure management, Purchasing operations, IT asset management, project management, business analysis, user training, and operational initiatives.
Vern Childers, Chief Information Officer

Vern Childers is the Chief Information Officer of Meyer Tool and Meyer Digital, the leading manufacturing company that utilizes advanced technologies and dynamic manufacturing processes to deliver high-quality products for the aerospace and gas turbine engine industries. At Meyer Tool, Vern serves as a leader of a global team that is responsible for all technologies, software development, and support of the corporate IT infrastructure, including voice and data networks, system administration, storage, desktop support, and all data centers. As a change agent who creates a dynamic, responsive, and business-driven IT organization, he has led several groundbreaking initiatives for the company, including the launch of a new Internet of Things (IoT) initiative focused on machine productivity, availability, and downtime reduction.
Prior to Meyer Tool, Vern served as IT Manager and Global Virtualization Program Leader at Fortune 20 companies, Amazon and General Electric respectively. In these roles, he led teams to develop new technologies and implement them on enterprise-wide and global scales. For his work at Amazon, he received the accolade of North America’s Q4 IT Peak Leader for three consecutive years – 2012, 2013, to 2014. Vern also developed his expertise in IT, manufacturing, and leadership from his previous roles at Digitalfreight.com, Matsushita, and Inacom.
Vern holds a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems and Business Administration. He has garnered several certifications, including GE Lean Six Sigma, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, and Checkpoint Certified Systems Administrator, to name a few.
