Lester Godsey, Chief Information Security Officer
Lester Godsey is the CISO for Maricopa County in Arizona, which is the 4th largest and fastest growing county in the United States.
With over 25 years of public-sector IT experience, Lester has presented at the local, state and national level on topics ranging from telecommunications to project management to cybersecurity.
As a certified PMP and CISM, Lester has taught at the collegiate level for over 10 years in the areas of cybersecurity, technology and project management. A published author, he holds a BA in Music and a MS in Technology from Arizona State University.
Paul T. Cottey, Chief Information Officer

Paul T. Cottey is Water Street’s Chief Information Officer. He collaborates with Water Street’s family of healthcare companies to engage and align their information technology strategy to support their business growth objectives. During a nearly 20-year career with Accenture, he consulted with numerous corporations on their IT strategy as an Executive Partner. He oversaw IT initiatives for a variety of companies during his tenure with The Gores Group. He served as CIO of R1RCM, a leading revenue cycle management firm, and was CIO and an executive leadership team member of PatientMatters LLC. Mr. Cottey’s work has been published in many industry publications.
Luciano Ferrari, Head of Information Security for Americas
Luciano Ferrari is an information security leader and IoT hacking expert. Luciano holds multiple security certifications, including CISSP, CRISC, and PCIP, and has worked at Fortune 500 companies in both technical and leadership roles. He drives progress at his own company, LufSec, where he works on security-related issues and projects. Luciano has conducted hundreds of IT security audits and penetration tests, including audits and tests on IoT devices for cable companies. He has also leveraged his IT security expertise in manufacturing, semiconductor, financial, and educational institutions. With his background in electronics and microelectronics, his distinct specialization is definitely on hardware hacking. Luciano is passionate about sharing his knowledge with others and teaching. His other areas of expertise include IT infrastructure, networking, and penetration testing, risk, vulnerability, and threat management. In private, he enjoys researching new technologies and participating at security conferences and in bug bounty programs.
Raghu Santanam, Department Chair, Information Systems
Arizona State University
Dr. Raghu Santanam is Professor and Chair of the Department of Information Systems in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. His current research focuses on Analytics, information assurance, and mobile platforms. Professor Santanam has helped several organizations in data-intensive decision-making contexts. He has authored several researched case studies on technology-enabled business transformations. Professor Santanam has been an active researcher in the Health Information Technology area for many years. He has published many scholarly articles on Electronic Medical Records (EMR) impacts on hospitals, Personal Health Records (PHR) adoption by consumers, and technology-based decision support for public health. Professor Santanam is a visiting scientist at Mayo Clinic since 2012.
Professor Santanam received his B.S. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the The University of Mysore, M.S. in Industrial Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, M.S. in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from SUNY Buffalo. Before joining ASU, he was a Henry Woodburn fellow at SUNY Buffalo. He has been recognized for teaching excellence in both undergraduate and graduate programs with awards from the Decision and Information Systems Club and the W. P. Carey School of Business.
Sam Buhrow, Former Information Security Cyber Incident Management and Forensics Director
Sam E. Buhrow is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with over 20 years of experience in Cybersecurity strategy, architecture, implementation, incident response, malware analysis, threat intelligence, computer forensics, E-Discovery, data security, disaster recovery, and SIEM implementation and configuration. Engagements have included maturing cyber programs, managing risk profiles of over $100M, investigation of malware, intellectual property, patent infringements, human resource complaints, class action, and Government / regulatory compliance, including PCI DSS, PII, PHI, SB1386, HIPAA, EU-Safe Harbor, NIST CSF 1.0 and 1.1, NIST 800-53 rev 3 / 4, MARS-E V1 and V2, PUB 1075, NIST 800-171, FedRAMP, ISO27001, and ISO27002.
Sam has extensive experience in Cybersecurity management; identifying and mitigating risk, training and development of Information Security resources on and off-shore, and creating new processes, procedures, and techniques to solve clients’ needs with novel approaches.
Giving back and sharing with the InfoSec community is an important part of helping all industries, regardless of verticals or positions of individuals. He has had articles published in Enterprise Security, CIO Applications, SecOps Productivity, and more. Sam has brought numerous people into Cyber Security and helped them excel in attaining numerous certifications and achievements

Gunjan Goel, Former Senior Vice President Information Technology
Gunjan is a business and technology executive with over 25 years of global experience with companies like AlliedSignal, Honeywell, CSC, and Cobham Aerospace building and leading technology organizations in Aerospace & Defense, Healthcare and Hi-Tech sectors. Known for business and digital transformation, Gunjan has led large IT organizations in many geographies – the US, the UK, Denmark, France, Switzerland, China, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Philippines, and Mexico. Gunjan is also an entrepreneur and co-founder of two successful companies, Plexlane and Amerivitals Telehealth.
Gunjan is a Six Sigma Black Belt with an Executive MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Engineering from Arizona State. He is also an Advisory Board Member with HMG Strategy.

Jeff Scheetz serves as the CIO for the City of Avondale, Arizona, where he leads diverse technology systems consisting of general government, public safety, utilities, and family services. Jeff holds a degree in Computer Science, an MBA, and in 2020 became a Certified Government CIO from Rutgers University and Public Technology Institute. Jeff has been leading local government in Arizona and Colorado for 13 years and has 14 years of experience in the private sector leading large scale software development.

Marcus Fowler, Director of Strategic Threat
Marcus Fowler spent 15 years at the Central Intelligence Agency developing global cyber operations and technical strategies, until joining Darktrace in 2019. He has led cyber efforts with various US Intelligence Community elements and global partners and has extensive experience advising senior leaders on cyber efforts. He is recognized as a leader in developing and deploying innovative cyber solutions. Before serving at the CIA, Marcus was an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Marcus has an engineering degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Masters’ Degree in International Security Studies from The Fletcher School. He also completed Harvard Business School’s Executive Education Advanced Management Program.
