Pedro Buhigas, Vice President, Information Systems and Technology

Pedro R. Buhigas has served as Basic’s Vice President–Information Systems and Technology since March 2019. From 2016 to 2019 he served as Vice President – Information Technology at TETRA Technologies, a leading solutions provider to the upstream energy industry for completion fluids, water management and compression services. From 2005 to 2016 Mr. Buhigas was employed at Stallion Oilfield Services, a provider of auxiliary rentals and services for oil and gas operations, where he served as CIO since January 2012. Mr. Buhigas’ earlier professional career includes software development positions with increasing responsibility, including Software Design Engineer for Microsoft Corporation. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer and Information Science from The Ohio State University.
Kim Mackenroth, Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Kimberly A. Mackenroth is vice president and chief information officer for Textron Inc. In this role, she leads the business unit chief information officers and the Textron Information Services (TIS) organization. She oversees Textron’s Information Management Council and manages Tex-tron’s information technology supplier and outsourcing relationships.
Prior to her current role, Mackenroth was VP & CIO of Textron Aviation, where she oversaw all global information technology, focusing on optimizing technology systems, supporting M&A activities and aligning business strategy and requirements with the delivery of IT services.
Mackenroth joined Bell in 1996 and held numerous positions of increasing responsibility across functions such as supply chain, manufacturing and integrated product teams in support of heli-copter programs. Appointed as director of IT in 2008, she led a multi-discipline team that pro-vided IT services to the global business during a period of significant business system change. In 2011, she was named VP & CIO of Textron Tools & Test, a position she held for two years before being appointed to her role at Textron Aviation. She holds a B.S. in management from Baylor University and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Roy C. Bené II, Vice President, Director of Information Technology and Information Security Officer
With over 24 years of IT and Information Security experience beginning in his military career, Roy is no stranger to the challenges faced from a security standpoint in the world of IT, today. For the past 4 years, Roy has been the IT director and ISO for NexBank SSB. During this time he has implemented several changes to the bank’s infrastructure by deploying new, more secure, technologies, as well as made changes to the bank’s Information and Cybersecurity programs that have been key in keeping NexBank ahead of the curve. Prior to NexBank, Roy spent a lot of his civilian career as an IT consultant. From 1994 to 2007, Roy enjoyed a very prosperous Naval Career.
Outside the IT realm, Roy has a sincere passion for the culinary arts. A Le Cordon Bleu graduate, he has cooked in 3 different countries and has a commercial kitchen in beautiful Salem, Massachusetts. Roy was also awarded best home chef (instructor) in Fort Worth in 2015 by Thumbtack.
Roy is a huge proponent of charity work and has been involved with several projects at Make-A-Wish, Habitat for Humanity, and, American Red Cross. He donates his time to disaster relief initiatives, as well as provides free IT support to churches and other nonprofits who may not be able to afford IT services. Roy, a native of New Orleans, lives in Grand Prairie, Texas with his wife Tammy.
Randy Stroud, Vice President Information Security
Hunt Companies, Inc.
Randy Stroud currently holds the title of VP, Information System (CISO) for Hunt Companies, Inc. He has 29 years of IT and 27 years of Information Security experience. Mr. Stroud was previously the Information Security Officer for Nationstar Mortgage and First Federal of Michigan, and the Chief Security Architect for American Home Mortgage Services, Electronic Data Systems and GMAC. In these roles he established the Information Security function for each organization and was responsible for working with senior leadership to manage security risk, delivery security services and drive their roadmap for improvements and investments. He also served as a Senior Manager for Price Waterhouse and helped establish and deliver security services for their central region.
Over his last 27 years he has been responsible for driving innovation in the Information Security Industry by working with industry experts to form products and services related to Enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance, Security Event & Incident Management, Identity Access Governance Management, Digital Rights Management, Security Vulnerability & Compliance Management, and Vendor Security Risk Management. His latest accomplishments include helping many software companies successfully migrate their products into the cloud so they could be offered as security-as-a-service to meet regulated industries.
Stroud is a graduate of the Sam Houston State University of Huntsville, Texas where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Technology.
Varun Gadhok, Senior Director- Information Systems
Over the last 15 years, Varun has held various leadership roles within healthcare IT on both the provider side and as a strategic partner with consulting firms.
Varun is responsible for leading the Solution Architecture team at Tenet Healthcare, which operates 65 hospitals along with 475 outpatient centers. Responsibilities include collaborating with the business to optimize IT portfolio while leveraging technology to enable business capabilities and provide additional value to stakeholders.
Prior to that, Varun provided oversight of IT operations for Electronic Medical Record (EMR) applications. In this role, Varun provided leadership and IT advisory services during one of the most aggressive implementations of converting paper to electronic medical records in the healthcare industry. Additionally, Varun has negotiated favorable agreements with vendors by leveraging economies of scale which resulted in significant annualized savings and formalized service level agreements with outsourcing partners to provide a stable and predictable IT operating model.
Prior to his role at Tenet Healthcare, Varun held several IT leadership roles at Dell Services (now NTT Data) and Cerner Corporation, which required supporting large investor-owned institutions and small community hospitals. To achieve customer objectives, Varun frequently worked with interdisciplinary stakeholders including physicians, nurses, IT leaders and hospital executives including administration.
Varun received his undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Iowa and is currently pursuing his executive MBA at The University of Texas at Dallas (class of 2020).
Jeff Loyd, Assistant Vice President Cloud Strategy and Architecture
Jeff is a well-seasoned technologist who is currently leading the cloud transformation at GM Financial. His cloud experience started in 2006 with Mosso from RackSpace and transitioned with time to AWS and Azure as those technologies came into existence. Having honed the craft of full stack software development, deployment and operations in a cloud setting over many years prior from dotcom startups to fortune 100 companies, the breadth of knowledge and experience Jeff brings to the table for an all encompassing strategy is unparalleled.
Sonya Bridges, Assistant Vice President of Application Development and Delivery Services

Sonya Bridges is an experienced leader, innovator, mentor and technologist with over 30 years of experience in delivering organizational transformations.
Currently, Sonya is the Assistant Vice President of the Applications Development & Delivery Services at DFW Airport. Responsible for maximizing the application development, data & analytics, business process management, quality assurance, systems integration and project management office functions.
Prior to joining DFW Airport, Sonya worked at TXU Energy, Hewlett Packard, J. C. Penney, Texas Instruments and Lockheed in various progressive positions.
She is passionate about promoting science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). As a mother of three daughters, she strongly believes in motivating young women to succeed and encouraging them to dream big!
Sonya earned a Masters of Business Administration from the Texas Woman University in Denton, Texas; and has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics from Southern University-Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She also holds certifications from Southern Methodist University in Executive Management and Telecom.
Adam W. Little, Former Executive Director, Technology/Cybersecurity Operational Risk

Adam Little is an accomplished Technology & Information Security Executive and retired USAF Cyberspace Operations Officer.
At JP Morgan, Adam led a cross-functional team to develop a comprehensive Technology & Cybersecurity control framework based on regulatory requirements and industry best practices such as ITIL, NIST, GLBA, SOX, and FFIEC.
As a USAF Officer, his assignments include The Pentagon, US Central Command, Germany, Italy, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, and Saudi Arabia. He worked closely with the NSA, CIA, DHS, and US Secret Service.
Adam is a CISSP, holds an MBA, a master’s in Systems Engineering, and a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.

Rob Ludeman, Director, Solutions Marketing
Rob Ludeman is the Director of Solutions Marketing for Business Applications at Pure Storage with a focus on helping customers simplify and accelerate their Microsoft, Oracle and SAP workloads. Rob arrived at Pure in 2017 with over 20 years of experience at Oracle and Sun Microsystems in variety of Product Marketing, Sales Enablement and Product Management roles. In his free time, he enjoys running, travel, watching his 12 year old son play sports, and following Manchester City in the English Premier League.
Kendall Reese, Deputy Chief Information Security Officer & Manager IT Security Architecture
Kendall is a multi-faceted technologist with over 24 years of IT experience. He currently works as Deputy CISO and Manager for the IT Security Architecture group within a fast paced, ever growing environment at Simmons Bank.
Prior to joining Simmons Bank, Kendall has worked within several industries including defense/aerospace, manufacturing, and MSP/MSSP with organizations of all sizes.
Kendall has a BS Finance from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington and currently holds the CISSP certification.
Sujeet Bambawale, Chief Information Security Officer
Sujeet Bambawale is the Chief Information Security Officer with 7-Eleven. Prior to joining 7-Eleven, he spends 5 years at NetApp, and over 10 years with Intuit; after working with the information security and risk management teams at Ernst & Young and KMPG.
His focus is on maturing the organization’s security posture by driving execution to a well-socialized and accepted security strategy that benefits internal and external stakeholders through a pragmatic mix of building cross-organizational relationships and developing people managers.
Sujeet led enterprise security at LifeLock, which was acquired by Symantec’s Consumer Business Unit shortly after. Sujeet was responsible for delivering and maintaining an industry-leading stance on innovation and digital protection in a unified manner across the Norton brand, to meet & exceed the expectations of the global security-conscious customer, as well as external regulators like the Federal Trade Commission.
Most recently, Sujeet was recognized for responsible disclosures of a vulnerability in a reputed security services’ website that was leaking member data, as well as for a payment & credentials exposure vulnerability in a nationwide EV charging service.
Austin Eppstein, Manager
Austin Eppstein is the South Central Regional Manager at Darktrace, the world’s leading cyber AI company. He has worked extensively with clients across numerous industry verticals, from financial services to government administrations, helping them deploy Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System, the only AI technology capable of detecting and autonomously responding to early-stage cyber-threats. Austin graduated with a bachelor’s degree from The University of Mount Union and is based out of Darktrace’s South Central office in Dallas, Texas.
