Gary Gooden, Chief Technology and Security Officer
Seattle Children’s
Gary Gooden new title is now the Chief Technology and Security Officer for Seattle Children’s (Hospital, Research, and Foundation). He was previously the Chief Information Security Officer. He reports into the Chief Information Officer for Seattle Children’s.
In his current role Gary has been driving the IT Security Strategy while executing against a roadmap that was created by him in an effort to modernize the Information security footprint within the hospital, research and foundation environment both from a technology and governance perspective (inclusive of the technology for physical security). This is been done in close collaboration with other IT departments and related business areas within the larger enterprise environment.
Gary who joined Seattle Children’s in March of 2019 previously held a similar role at Children’s Hospital Los.
Prior to joining Seattle Children’s, Gary spent the last 26yrs at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Amgen, Mattel and The Walt Disney Company in several IT executive leadership roles within Information Systems Infrastructure and Application Development and delivery.
Sayee K. Vaitheesvaran, Chief Information Officer
Washington State Gambling Commission
Sayee Vaitheesvaran brings 25 years of technology and leadership experience in both private and government. He is the CIO and Director of Technology in Washington State Gambling commission.
Sayee has a Bachelor and Master degree in Computer Science and a MBA from University of Washington, Foster School of Business. He is also a certified project management professional. (PMP)
Among other past employers, he worked for Employment Security Department, Department of Transportation (WA State Agencies) and Chempoint.com in Bellevue (Startup Company), Univar, Walmart.
Sayee has played multiple roles as a Programmer, Project Manager, Product Manager, Director, Consultant and now as the CIO.
Lana DeMaria, Director, Data Privacy

Lana is a motivated and results-oriented privacy leader with international experience deploying impactful programs, landing global projects, and establishing connections in the U.S., Russia, India, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Singapore, Argentina, Egypt, and the Czech Republic. She is experienced in supervising and training teams; building global, enterprise-wide programs from the ground up; and leading, planning, and executing projects in a variety of industries, including aviation, software, manufacturing, telecom, and education. Lana enjoys planning and executing successful marketing campaigns and operational programs, as well as sharing her excitement about privacy awareness to build customer trust. She has over 22 years of team management and technology experience, with 18 years of strong contributions to the privacy, security, and risk management space at Alaska Airlines Group, Microsoft, and Ernst & Young, and with 16 years of training, communications, and marketing experience at Microsoft, Ernst & Young, Boeing, PacifiCorp, and SCS. She is a member of the Digital Marketing Association, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and the IT Compliance Institute.
Macy Dennis, Cyber Advisor/Virtual Chief Security Officer (vCSO)

Macy is a Global Information and Cyber Security Executive with corporate security experience, focusing on all aspects of cyber, information, and Physical Security. He has over 25+ years of experience in law enforcement, IT, and cybersecurity. He is a highly skilled communicator with the ability to work at all levels of the business, from “C-level” down to a “Security Professional/Practitioner”.
He has a proven track record for building strong successful teams within many business verticals, including Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, Electronics, ISP, and Defense. Macy has a strong reputation as a Cyber and Information Security leader; he has been recognized by US Government agencies for building a team and program that has been nominated for the National Counterintelligence Award. With this nomination, it puts his program and leadership in the top 1% of the more than15,000 Cleared Defense Contractors in the nation.
